I avoid PayPal like the Plague right now (which is why I dont EBay much) because of horror stories I've heard about that service.
It wasn't really clearly stated black and white that debit cards work just like credit cards in this thread, so I was just being sure to point it out. On some other forum threads here some people haven't been aware that you can use a debit card so I'm just trying to spread the love of information.

They are working on alternative pay methods, at least here in Europe. A German A-Net dude said something about it being ready "in August"..

Well I don't know if it includes the US too.. Credit Cards aren't as "standard" in Europe as in the US, so it "could" be it's just for Europe. :-/

Debit cards take money DIRECTLY from your bank account just like you had written a cheque. They ARE NOT credit cards and are NOT accepted as such. AT least in the UK thier not.

What horror stories? I been useing pay pal for years and never had a problem. If we avoided all payment methords that we heard horror stories about we still be useing a barter system or maybe not even that.

The UK must be way different then because in the US debit cards ARE credit cards. That's why they have a Visa or Mastercard logo on them and you can buy stuff with even no money in your account. That's the whole point of a debit card. Otherwise it would just be an ATM card which is not accepted everywhere.

You sure about that? As I understand, debit cards pull money directly out of your checking, saving, or investment account at the time of purchase. So you can't spend what you don't have. Credit cards on the other hand, bank that issued the credit card pay the merchant first and send you a bill later. At least that's how they work in California.

100% sure. Come on people. Debit Cards are NOT new!
Once again, this is the reason for the MASTERCARD/VISA logo right on the front of the card! Read the documentation that comes with the card or login to your banks website.

No, you are right, Debit cards are not new. But you are wrong in thinking you can spend money that you don't have like you can with a credit card.

In the US debit cards (which is just an ATM card with a VISA, MC, or AmericanExpress logo on it) can be used in the same fashion as a credit card but it takes the money directly from the associated account. The merchant gets his money just like he would if you used a credit card.

However, if you don't have the money in that account you have to pay the over draft fines. Some banks let you get over draft protection which links your credit card to your checking account. If you over draw on your checking account the bank puts it on your credit card, but that is an extra feature and you have to sign up for it. Do not use your Debit card with out money in your account!

I won't be purchasing a slot for a long time. They can't even code simple updates right. Why would anyone think they could code an online transaction right the first time. With game updates they can just make a small patch or two following the update. A transaction with real money isn't that simple. They should have tested this a bit more IMO.

I was bored and found the new online shop update. Just bought 3 expansion slots with my VISA. No fraud calls or whatsoever. Transaction was flawless! The only thing is that I need to play with those new characters and go through chapter 1 and 2.

Woah! What did your friend do to get that? Did she get frustrated taht it was saying the the date was wrong so she clicked next or buy or whatever it is 50 times in a row or something hopeing it would work?

I got my 3 extra slots in less than 5 minutes with absolutly no problem at all. It was incredibly easy.

Also, I doubt that its not secure. Wouldn't someone have to hack into the GW database or something to find out that secure stuff? And if they did, then everyone that works to make GW would surely know and everything would be perfectly fine because the person/people would be caught pretty quickly, right?
